REQUEST WARRANTY SERVICE

Our warranty service system is designed to accept written reports of non-emergency items.  This provides you with the maximum protection and allows us to operate efficiently, thereby providing faster service to all homeowners.  Emergency reports are the only reports accepted by phone. 

To comply with the terms of your warranty as well as for reasons of record-keeping, all non-emergency items for which you request service must be reported in writing.  A “Service Request Form” is provided in this section for your convenience.  We cannot accept reports of routine warranty items over the phone. However, please feel free at any time to call our warranty care line at 770-801-3104 and we will assist you in any way possible. 

In order to provide you with the most efficient service possible on all future warranty items, we have established the following procedures.  Please follow the steps below:

Step 1: Warranty Service: 

Interim Service:  Should non-emergency warranty service be required, an Interim Request may be forwarded to Warranty Care. Submit, in writing, any concerns you may have with your new home utilizing the “Service Request Form.” You will be reminded that you will need to submit your final request for warranty repair items utilizing the attached “12-Month Request for Service Form” prior to your warranty expiration date.  After our receipt of each of these forms, you will be contacted to arrange for service.

Warranty Expiration:  Once your warranty period has expired, you will be sent a letter providing you with a list of the names and numbers of contractors that will be willing to provide repair services. At this time, the cost of all repairs will become the responsibility of the homeowner.    

Step 2:  Service Procedures:  Upon Customer Service’s receipt of a Service Request, you will be contacted to schedule an inspection appointment.  A Customer Care Coordinator will schedule our Service Technician and/or contact the appropriate contractors to arrange appointment times for repairs. 

1.      Appointments are available Monday through Friday,
8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

After the work is completed by a Tauer warranty representative and/or contractors, they will ask you to sign the “Request–for-Service Form” indicating that the specified work has been completed to your satisfaction.
